The GCWC was started in the late 1950s and has hosted a great number of field trials over the years. Our club is a host to two Specialty Shows, one in June and one in October, as well as an AKC Hunt Test in the fall, WCA Ratings intermittently, and in 2018, we added AKC Scent Work Trials which are being held in the spring and fall of each year!! Our members have participated in field, obedience, conformation, agility, tracking, hunt tests, and scent work, with this very versatile breed.
